I’m curious because I spent a year living in Progreso – why Progreso? I loved living on the beach there, but there are drawbacks that are not obvious at first glance (nothing major, and found everywhere in the world).

And, just for the heck of it, what is your name?

Shari Farrar (Xari is the Mayan spelling and I love it)

      Hi Shari

I am just going on what my husband Ken found when he went to the area for 2 months so the whole thing is a huge leap of faith. He liked the size of the community-not too big but not too small-the proximity to a city like Merida, the very affordable real estate, the music community, the climate, the potential for future growth, and the surrounding attractions. I would love to get some perspective from you both pro and con. Thank you so much for your very useful info! I was thrilled when I came across your blog. My name is Leslie. Not any big secret but for the time being, as a new blogger, I am staying fairly low key. Where were you in Progresso? We are close to the Yakunah hotel.

Hope to hear back from you

So thanks for the support. Maybe now I can connect with a few more like minded souls. And you truly are my favourite blog so I couldn’t resist including you in my 15 nominations.
